The Swedish Club hosts the Annual General Meeting in Gothenburg every year during the second week of June. It lasts three days and includes a full programme of events, such as Board and Committee Meetings, Members’ Day with seminars and a Keynote speaker, dinners, and the Mutual Football Cup. 

On 12 June, Team International and Team Sweden played a thrilling football game in central Gothenburg. In the end, Team Sweden raised the Cup as winners. 

The next day, three speakers were welcomed up on stage: Christopher Pålsson – Maritime Insight, Steve Gordon – Clarksons Research, and Nick Shaw – International Group of P&I Clubs, talking about the topic of Geopolitics and the impact on Shipping. They later joined a panel discussion on the same topic. 

Right before lunch, Keynote Speaker David Ståhlberg took the stage and engaged us in Leadership in accelerating change. 

Both days were full of interesting conversations and networking, followed by two great dinners. 

From the HQ, the AGM is one of the highlights of the year to arrange. It’s a great opportunity to meet members and business partners, and we really enjoy seeing all our guests having such a nice time.
