The Singapore Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) issued a Circular reminding owners, operators, and masters that, effective 1 July 2006, ships subject to the SOLAS Convention must carry an immersion suit for each person on board. Owners of ships that operate exclusively between latitudes of 30°N and 30°S may apply for an exemption.
