The Port Workers’ Union (SUPRA – PIT CNT) has decided to apply a two hours delay in her operations to any vessel carrying cargoes from Paraguay at any of the Uruguayan ports.
These actions are taken in solidarity with the Paraguayan Workers’ Union of Paraguay, which is in conflict with their local Authorities.
The measure may affect and cause extra costs and delays not only to barges coming from Paraguay, but also to sea-going vessels which may receive direct transshipments from those barges.
