Members are advised that as from 6 August a new Suez Canal lane is in operation. The authorities have issued updated Suez Canal transit regulations that can be found attached below. Members are advised that, reportedly, vessels are required to carry both electronic and paper navigational charts.

Updated paper charts are reportedly being issued by the Egyptian Navy and are available at cost of EGP 400 (about USD 52). Members intending to transit the Suez Canal are recommended to obtain updated charts to be placed onboard upon the vessel’s arrival to Port Said / Port Suez.
