The Swedish Club Loss Prevention team recently delivered a seminar at Reederei Nord’s Senior Officers conference. The event took place on 21 June 2023 at the Adina Hotel in Hamburg. The session was attended by 19 participants, including Masters, Chief Officers, Chief Engineers, and 2nd Engineers, who actively engaged in discussions and benefited from the insights shared by Club.

The seminar was facilitated by Joakim Enström, Senior Loss Prevention Officer and Lorraine Hager, Loss Prevention and Marketing Advisor, who presented two real-life cases on personal injury and collision, highlighting the topics of emergency preparedness, navigation best practices, crew safety, safety management systems, and the prevention of accidents and incidents at sea.

The 19 senior officers actively participated in the discussions throughout the session, demonstrating their eagerness to learn and share. The seminar fostered an environment of collaboration and knowledge exchange, allowing attendees to share their experiences and gain new insights into mitigating risks and maintaining safe operations.

The Swedish Club, known for its proactive approach to loss prevention and its dedication to supporting its members, thanked Reederei Nord with special mention to Johannes Stratmann, Pit Nueubert, Claudia Pengl and Julia Djamil for the invitation to the event.
