With an attendance of around 30 participants representing brokers, shipowners and adjusters, the turnout was well in line with what has now become an annual tradition at the Club’s breakfast seminar in Oslo.

Initially Area Manager Tore Forsmo presented his view on the business environment facing both the marine insurance industry, as well as those shipping segments Team Norway serves. If 2017 was dominated by “winter” in most markets, perhaps 2018 will be the year when “spring” arrives?

The Swedish Club state of affairs address was given by Managing Director Lars Rhodin, highlighting a solid performance over the past few years. Finally, Peter Stålberg, Senior Technical Advisor at the Gothenburg head office, was the morning’s quizmaster when he took the audience on a guided tour through engine damage and claims with a particular emphasis on auxiliary engines.

All together a morning well received and appreciated by all those attending.
