We hereby enclose a form for the 2nd quarter declarations to be completed and returned to us not later than 20 October 2011.

As from 20 February 1998, all tanker Owners, including Owners of OBO and OO vessels, have to make quarterly declarations in respect of cargoes carried and voyages performed during the specified quarter in order not to jeopardise their P&I cover.

The reason for this increased reporting procedure is to ensure that all Members of the Association are charged an accurate premium for the quarter. Tankers carrying Non-persistent oil and OBOs and OOs carrying dry cargoes during the entire quarter, will enjoy a lower reinsurance cost which will be credited to the Members. Owners of tankers (including OBOs and OOs) trading to the USA and US EEZ have to declare voyages in order to pay the correct surcharge.

Completion and return of the enclosed declaration form is only required for owners of tankers, OBOs and OOs.
